Nexiversity opened in 1998 with four faculties and a stubborn idea: that undergraduates should be trusted with real work from the first term. Six faculties later, that has not changed.
Every capstone team next year will work on a live problem.
The faculty has signed briefs with twelve organisations for the coming academic year, covering water treatment, grid instrumentation, logistics automation and medical device design.
Each brief comes with a named engineer from the partner who attends reviews. Students present to that person, not to a proxy.
Placement into teams opens at the start of the second semester.
