Water Security Programme Wins Regional Grant
The four-year award funds catchment monitoring across three governorates.
The grant supports twelve doctoral positions and the instrumentation of eight new monitoring stations, extending a dataset the faculty has maintained since 2009.
What makes the award unusual is its data policy: every reading will be published openly within thirty days of collection, a condition the faculty proposed rather than accepted.
Field work begins in the spring, with the first stations installed before the wet season.
