One bucket, one bad knife

In 2015 Qitaf was a bench behind a grocer in Abdoun. The knife was blunt, the bucket leaked, and the first order was for a neighbour who wanted something for her mother and did not mind what.

Ten years later the thing that has not changed is that one person builds each bouquet from start to finish. The thing that has changed is that you can now design it yourself, in 3D, before we cut anything.

A day, from the valley to your door

04:40

The vans go out

Two of us drive to the farms in the Jordan Valley and pick from what was cut in the dark.

08:00

Everything goes into water

Stems are cut again under water and left to drink for two hours before anyone touches them.

10:30

The bench fills up

Your stem list is printed and one florist builds the whole bouquet — never two.

13:00

Out the door

Wrapped, tied, carded and driven. In water the whole way, which is why it looks like this on arrival.
