Nexiversity opened in 1998 with four faculties and a stubborn idea: that undergraduates should be trusted with real work from the first term. Six faculties later, that has not changed.

About

The Short Version

A University Built for What Comes Next

We are a research university of eleven thousand students that behaves like a much smaller one. Class sizes are capped, laboratories open in week one, and every degree ends in work defended in front of people who do the job for a living.

  • Laboratory access from the first semester
  • Live client briefs in every faculty
  • Teaching hospital on the campus boundary

Our Mission

What We Hold To

To graduate people who can be handed a real problem on their first day and make progress on it — because they have already done exactly that, repeatedly, here.

Trust students early

Equipment, data and real clients are not rewards for the final year. They are how the first year is taught.

Assess in public

Work is defended in front of an audience that includes people from outside the class. It raises the standard on both sides of the desk.

Stay small inside

Eleven thousand students, but a seminar cap of eighteen and a named supervisor for every final-year project.

Publish what we find

Undergraduate results appear alongside faculty research, under the student's own name.

The People Who Teach

Minds That Teach Here

Deans who still supervise projects, lecturers who still practise. Every name here teaches undergraduates.

Come See the Campus for Yourself

Open days run through the spring. Walk the labs, sit in on a class, and ask the questions a prospectus will not answer.
