Questions about this treatment

Still unsure about something? Call the practice — a dentist answers, not a script.

See all questions
How long does a crown last?
Ten to fifteen years is normal; twenty is common if the gum around it stays healthy. What kills crowns is decay at the margin, which is a flossing problem, not a crown problem.
Implant or bridge?
An implant if the bone allows it, because it leaves the neighbours untouched. A bridge if the teeth either side already need crowns anyway — then you get two jobs for one.
Does a root canal hurt?
The toothache before it hurts. The treatment itself is done under anaesthetic and most patients describe it as long rather than painful. Pavel does them under a microscope, which is why they are usually one visit.
