Saplings Junior KG
A day in this group
Saplings adds structure without losing play. Children work in small groups on letter sounds, quantity, patterns and measurement, then take those ideas straight outside — counting the beans they planted, measuring the shadow of the climbing frame.
We keep a portfolio for every child: drawings, dictated stories, photographs of what they built. You will see it twice a year, and it says far more than a grade could.
What the week looks like
- Phonics and early number in small groups
- Garden science and simple measuring
- Weekly library visit and book borrowing
- Termly portfolio shared with families
