Applying & starting
What ages do you accept?
We take children from two years old through to the end of the kindergarten year at six. Sprouts starts at two, and children move up in September based on age and readiness rather than a fixed date.
How do I apply, and how long does it take?
Send the application form on this site, and we reply within two working days with a visit time. After the visit you will have a written place offer within a week. Nothing is due until you accept.
Can I visit before applying?
Yes, and we would rather you did. Visits run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings while the classes are in full swing, because a quiet empty building tells you nothing.
The daily rhythm
What is the adult to child ratio?
One adult to five children in Sprouts, one to six in Seedlings, one to eight in Saplings and one to nine in Sunflowers. Those are staffed ratios, not licence minimums.
Do you provide meals?
Morning plans include a snack and fruit. Full day plans include a cooked lunch prepared on site. We publish the menu every Thursday for the following week and cater for allergies with a written plan.
How do you keep parents informed?
A daily note with a photo for the youngest groups, a weekly summary for the older ones, two conferences a year, and a phone call the same day if anything at all is out of the ordinary.
Do you offer transport?
We run two minibus routes covering the north and west districts, with a supervisor on board in addition to the driver. Routes are confirmed in August once places are settled.
Health, safety & support
How do you handle allergies and medication?
Every allergy has a one-page plan signed by you and kept in the classroom and the kitchen. Medication is stored locked, logged on administration, and never given without your written consent for that day.
Is the building secure?
One supervised entrance, a coded gate, and a named pick-up list for every child. Nobody leaves with an adult who is not on that list, even if we know them.
What if my child needs extra support?
Aisha, our inclusion lead, writes an individual plan with you and reviews it every term. Visiting speech and occupational therapists work on site, and we coordinate rather than refer you away.
Fees & plans
What are the fees and are there discounts?
Three plans are published in full on the tuition page, with no registration fee and no materials fee. Siblings receive ten percent off the second child, and full-year payment saves one month.
Can we change plans mid-year?
Yes, with a month of notice, and we prorate the difference. Families move up and down between plans every year and nobody thinks twice about it.
